Convinced my sister to read the book which gave me an excuse to watch this again. I truly have never seen a film like this. I don't know how it makes me feel so much but it does. It is simply spectacularly understated filmmaking.
- Every shot of Heath Ledger in this film I could frame and hang on my wall but my wall nor my eyes would be worthy
- The way Heath subtly changed his Australian accent because his character moved to America when he was 10 is genius - the man was an acting pro at the age of 20
- Joseph Gordon Levitt is so smol, precious and goddamn caring - where are the men like this????

Everything good that has been said about 'Little Women' is true. This film is absolutely gorgeous. Here I was, before I'd seen it, pretty sceptical because 'why would we need another remake of this?' When I was watching it, I didn't even think about that. This version is its own entity. It is so individually unique and warm that I just never wanted it to end. Everything is so beautiful. The characters are brought to life through love and care.…
