Upon rewatch, I couldn't help but notice just how much more visceral and effective this was compared to other, similar films.
In a lot of modern "torture porn" films, it really just feels like it's people mashing and slicing something very "fake", whereas something like Hellraiser makes you actually feel like the human body is being torn to shreds.
